ADOBE INDESIGN CS4:
  • Took this course to learn about layout in the print areas of design.  Gained a clear understanding of points/picas, gutters, bleeds, glyphs,  placing graphics, margins/tables, single/multiple page layout, text  wrap.
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS4 / CS5
  • Worked with Photoshop in a variety of situations from web and print.  Became knowledgeable of RGB and CMYK,  saving for web and devices, .GIF, .JPG, .PNG8, .PNG24, PSD format for  saving layers to edit later. Slicing a comp for client preview.  Differentiate between raster/ bitmap images and vector images. Developed layouts and graphics from product illustrations, company  logos, and web site graphic material.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CS4 / CS5
  • Prepared rough sketches and designed illustrations in vector format  using mouse and Wacom tablet. Became knowledgeable of note preparation  for co-workers who may assemble and / or prepare final layout for print or  web use. Worked with anchor points, placing art as a template for  re-creation in a vector-based work environment. Export in a variety of formats including PDF and JPG, as well as native  .AI format. Worked extensively with paths, the pen tool, the mesh tool  for gradation changes in final artwork.

ADOBE PREMIERE PRO CS4
  • Worked in Premiere Pro adding a sequence to the time line, exporting the  rendered project to Encore for finalizing the finished project to DVD,  Blueray, YouTube, Flash / SWF, MPEG, AVI. Added chapters to the time line for a chapter based sub-menu. Shot and  edited video and edited the files and menus in Photoshop for use in PP.  Used “Ripple Delete” for preservation of original content while editing. Insertion of graphics and MP3 / MIDI files for audio.
ADOBE FIREWORKS CS4
  • Designed a web comp with .GIF buttons, created roll-over effects, sliced the comp for client preview, saved in the native .PNG format for  integration into Dreamweaver for further editing as well as Photoshop.  Created vector mask, created hot spots for the ability to add URL  for links to other pages on the web.
