About the Photographer

I have been a photographer since middle school. I knew I was drawn (no pun intended) to art when I won an art contest in the 1st grade. Until my early 20’s, I had to draw and sketch the images I wanted to capture on paper. My first camera was a Canon T50. I since had a Pentax K1000, Canon AE1 Program, Canon A1, Canon EOS A2E, and now-a-days I use Nikon D100’s.

I’m currently a freelance photo journalist and have been for the last 6 years. I love being around people and capturing certain moments that take place. I really enjoy photography, but my love for drawing, painting, etc. has been dormant since I have been using the camera. I have just started to learn how to “paint” my photographs with Painter and seem to have a serious desire to learn more. So one will likely see within these pages some art from images as well as actual photographs. My favorite subject is people and nature is a close second.
